Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

I'm confused on why jewerly is not allow. If it's something hand made and good quality, it should have a choice to be submited. And by hand made, I really mean hand made, not pony beads or whatever. For instance, there's some really good metal work of pendants, rings, and the like.

On the plus side, I'm glad the screen caps are not allowed. I've seen too many lazy people that just take a bunch of screen shots and slam them together and call it art. So, I thank you for putting it to a stop.

Well I've got a problem with the first one. Doctor Who itself as a show uses the parallel universe theory, in one of the Eighth Doctor audio dramas he actually visited our universe and met the actors that played himself. So I'm kinda iffy about cutting out any that include any other characters. That'll isolate a lot of people in the fandom who love crossovers.

I think they mean no including Torchwood or submitting Harry Potter/Doctor Who or Criminal Minds/Doctor Who fanfictions or other artworks that cross Doctor Who with a non-doctor series. I'm sure that crossing Doctor's wouldn't be a problem considering most of Smiths' earlier seasons involved a younger version of the Doctor crossing his own Time Line.

That and it also means that if there is a Doctor Who episode that does include characters like Jack Harkness than you have to stay within the parameters of that episode and not involved any characters that weren't in Doctor Who episodes.
